We are an RCMP family, so we have seen our share of real-estate agents. Eric was our second hire for a "hard to sell" house. We had already worked with an agent for six months with no results. We hired Eric in hopes he could do the impossible: sell our house. We met him at a children's minor soccer game... lo and behold, he was the coach! We were impressed with the fact that he was so involved with the community in which he lives and sells homes.
Our task for Eric was not an easy one. We had a nice house, but it was a unique house. It was also what they call a "stale dated" house as it had been on the market for more than six months. It would be a hard house to sell.
Eric may be young, but he is professional, determined and devoted. During our first meeting, it became clear Eric's business values were based on honesty and integrity. He answered questions with true insight, rather than tell us what he thought we wanted to hear. He was also incredibly devoted. He routinely answered his cell phone; and if he didn't immediately answer, he would return our call within a couple of hours. Eric is also diligent. For every showing on our home, Eric was like a bloodhound on a scent. He would call the showing agent until they gave him a description of how the showing went and he would promptly relay that information to us.
Eric is also a "Green" real-estate agent... apparently the only one in Fredericton. This was important to us on two levels: we are environmentally conscientious people and let’s face it, fossil fuels cost money. Eric told us how to make our home more energy efficient, thus reducing our heating bill AND increasing our sale price. He was like no other agent we had in all the years of moving from place to place.
Shortly after the sale of our house closed, Eric asked us if we would write a short paragraph outlining our experience with him. We simply can't fit all the good things we want to say into one paragraph!
As an RCMP family, we transfer many times and we deal with our share of real-estate agents. Eric was different. He became our house-selling-guru! He knew all the tricks, he had all the high tech tools and he devoted himself whole heartedly to selling our house. We would recommend him in a heartbeat and will certainly be calling on him again if we are ever transferred back to the Fredericton region."
